Tuition

Monthly payments are due on the last lesson of every month. The first month’s payment is due upon registration. A non-refundable, one-time registration fee of $30 will be added to your first invoice.

Late fees

A payment is considered late if received on or after the first of the month. A $10 late fee is applied on the first of the month.

Payment Options

For monthly payments, we accept post-dated cheques, cash and e-transfer (payment@nxtlevelmusic.com).

Non-Sufficient Funds

A $40.00 NSF fee is applied to a student account for each NSF cheque. Lessons can stop upon our notification of a NSF cheque or declined payment, and will resume once account is brought up to date. Three consecutive NSF cheques or declined payments will suspend the payers account and shall only be reactivated upon payment in full.

Cancellation/Make-Up

Up to two private lessons cancelled up until 9am of the same day will be made up in a registered year. There is no credit or refund for missed or cancelled make up lessons.

 

Semi-private and group lessons/programs cannot be made up; however, we will try to provide a make up if there is availability in a different class. Cancellations and schedule changes must be made via e-mail, not directly with the instructor.

Instructor Absence/Unavailability

We try our best to schedule students with the same instructor for the entire term. However, in the event a regularly scheduled instructor is absent, another qualified instructor will teach the class or the lesson will be re-scheduled at our discretion. There is no credit or refund for lessons cancelled by students due to unavailability of their regularly assigned teacher.

Inclement Weather

We will update Instagram and Facebook by 1:30 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM on Saturdays if classes are cancelled due to inclement weather. Please check for program closure prior to coming in on severe weather days. Students can schedule make up lessons any time in a registered year. There is no credit or refund for lessons cancelled due to weather related closures.

Stopping Lessons

Notice of 4 consecutive lessons is required to withdraw from a program. The Withdrawal Form can be found on our website, The 4-lesson period commences upon receipt of the Withdrawal Form. Tuition is payable for the duration of the 4-lesson period whether lessons are attended or not. Informing an instructor of intent to withdraw, or not attending classes, does not constitute withdrawal from lessons.

Liability Waiver

Parents/guardians are responsible for the well-being and safety of their children at all times, including drop-off and pick-up on premise or at offsite events that are hosted or sponsored by Next Level Music Centre. Parents/guardians are encouraged to  be on the premise 5 mins before the end of the scheduled class to ensure that their child is picked up on time.  Next level Music Centre, including its directors, officers, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, accident, death, loss, theft, damage or any other harm whatsoever which may be sustained by a student, parent, guardian, or guest on our premise or at an offsite event hosted or sponsored by Next Level Music Centre.  You waive any claims, demands, and liabilities against Next Level Music Centre arising from your participation in Next Level Music Centre programs and events/activities, including participation by you and/or your child(ren) and guests.

Photo & Video Release Policy

By registering with Next level Music Centre, you grant Next level Music Centre permission to take photographs and audio/video recordings of you and/or your child(ren)’s participation (“content”) in Next level Music Centre programs, events, or activities. You also grant Next level Music Centre permission to use, reuse, modify, publish, and republish the content in any format or media, including print and online, for promotional purposes. Next level Music Centre will use the content without compensation to you, your children and your guests. You waive any rights to prior inspection and approval of the content and its use. Next level Music Centre may not sell such content to anyone without your permission. You waive any claims, demands, and liabilities against Next level Music Centre for capturing and using the content. To opt out,

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises out of, or in connection with terms and policies of this document, the parties agree to meet to pursue resolution through negotiation/mediation or other appropriate dispute resolution process before resorting to litigation.

Governed By The Laws of Ontario

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior and other representations, understandings or agreements between them, written or oral, respecting the subject matter herein. This agreement may be amended only in writing, shall be read without regard to section headings, shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of Ontario.

Facility Policy

Students, parents, and guests must behave responsibly while on premise and at offsite events that are sponsored or hosted by Next level Music Centre. Disruptive behaviour causing damage to the facility or equipment is the financial responsibility of the student/parent. We reserve the right to expel students for nonpayment of tuition or disruptive behaviour without credit or refund.

Parking

Free parking onsite. Parking is available in the back as well and is subject to availability

Results of Music Examinations/Competetions/Auditions

Every effort is made to fully prepare students for examinations, competitions and recitals. However, we cannot control the results students achieve. Students and/or parents are encouraged to discuss and fully understand the requirements and expectations with their instructor  and/or organizers of exams and recitals.

Additional Cost

Cost of course material, examinations and concerts is in addition to tuition.

Group Lessons/Intro to Music 

Start date and Cancellation of a Group Class

Next level Music Centre reserves the right to postpone the start date or cancel group classes due to insufficient enrollment. Students will be refunded or moved to a different class if possible.

Lesson Time for Small Groups

Group lessons are typically 45 min in duration. Next level Music Centre reserves the right to adjust the length of group lessons at any point in the year, should the size of a group class decrease as follows:​

  • Only 2 students left in a group: lesson time will be 30minutes. Transfer to semi-private lessons or a different group if available. Cost/lesson time adjustment may be required.

  • Only 1 student left in a group: transfer to private lessons or a different group if available. Cost/lesson time adjustment may be required.

Health & Safety

  • We try to promote a nut, fish and shellfish free facility. However, we are unable to monitor allergens being brought into the school. 

  • All students are required to wear clean/dry indoor shoes or socks to class during winter months.

  • Students are asked not to bring non-lesson related valuables to class. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged items.

  • No food or drinks, with the exception of a closed water bottle, allowed in the classroom.
